Hello,
I apologize if this has already been answered. I am also relatively new to VMware stuff.
Here is the problem, I have a vcenter converter standalone installed on my laptop (windows7 pro) which is in 192.168.2.0/24 subnet. I also have eSXI server 5.5 free running on 192.168.3.200/26 machine. There is one Windows 2012 R2 server running as virtual machine within this eSXI.
From 192.168.2.0/24 network I can ping the eSXI server as well as the windows server, I can also ssh to eSXI and I can unc to windows server. There are no firewalls in between except cisco L3 switch doing routing between the subnets.
I would like to use VMware converter installed on 192.168.2.0/24 network to convert "powered on machine" (192.168.3.200/26) and use 192.168.1.0/24 as destination for converted image, however, converter keeps failing with message "unable to contact specified host, the host might not be available on the network, there might be a network configuration problem, or the management services on this host are not responding".
Thanks.
