I like to make sure i update in the case that anyone else runs into this issue.

Again we have a server that is on the DMZ seperated out by a different subnet. We have a Cisco ASA 5505 that provides the DMZ. After checking the firewall settings for the DMZ on the ASA we found that the ports were blocked. After opening the ports on the DMZ, the server is now in the process of being converted to a virtual machine.
