Hi there,
At work we're working on a Windows Server 2008 SP2 (SCCM 2007 R3) P2V to solve a disk space problem before upgrading to SCCM 2012 (later next year).
I've starting to prepare this P2V but the server has a complex partition design, which kinda look like the attached screenshot : multiple volumes, multiple partitions including extended partitions.
Target volume configuration would be something like :
- C: - 1 on one volume, 1 VMDK (30 -> 60 GB)
- E: - 1 on one volume, 1 VMDK (1 -> 5 GB)
- F: - 1 on one volume, 1 VMDK (1 -> 5 GB)
- G: - 1 on one volume, 1 VMDK (1 -> 5 GB)
- H: - 1 on one volume, 1 VMDK (1 -> 5 GB)
- I: - 1 on one volume, 1 VMDK (1 -> 5 GB)
I've launched Converter on our preproduction environment and I can't see an option allowing me to "split" those partition into multiple volumes...
Another option would be to multiple copy this volume after the P2V and delete E F G H and I on the first, C F G G I on the next, C E G H I, etc etc.
Any idea ?
Regards,
Sebastien
