- I do use a an account that has local admin privileges. I've also been careful to start the converter as Administrator.
- I was using 5.5.1, but just in case something was left over from earlier installations, I now did a full uninstall, reboot, and then re-install, and then attempted the conversion again. See attached log bundle. (Failed again.)
- I did a scan of bad sectors using C: -> properties -> Tools -> Scan... and it didn't find any problems. The only explanation I can think of is that the Checkpoint encryption somehow protects some areas of the disk. However, these areas are only used at startup. When I run the converter, everything seems accessible to me (and all programs I've tried over the years).
