Hello

 

If you really do a v2v conversion, you should stop the machine before the conversion. Thus no one will be able to connect (obviously). You seem to plan for a p2v (converter treats powered on VMs the same way as physical machines). I suggest you consider doing a volume based powered off v2v (if it is a Windows machine as it seems to be)

If that is not possible for some reason, can you consider stopping the 'Server' service during the conversion? Thus all shares will become unavailable.

Note: You need to have converter agent deployed before that.
