This question is better asked in a Hyper-V forum. Querying Hyper-V VMs is not part of Converter SDK functionality. Converter GUI client uses WMI for that.
One thing you need be aware - you need the VM's GUID for starting a conversion with SDK - it needs to be set in ConverterComputerSpecHyperVComputerLocation.vmGUID.
